My kids are 2 and 4 1/2 - they are scared of the Disney villans when watching movies - will it be a waste of time & money going to MNSSHWP or are there "good" characters there also? Does the trick-or-treating & parade, etc. out-weigh the

    Hi Andrea,

We love Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party and have been attending for years now. The title says it all, this is a very family friendly, fun event. While there are touches of ghosts and a visit from the headless horseman, you will find the majority of the event very "Not so Scary".

There are plenty of chances to visit Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Pooh and a great number of the lovable Disney pals. I love that even Mickey and his pals are in the Halloween spirit and have brought their very own costumes. It makes me smile to see Mickey dressed as a farmer, Minnie as a princess and Pooh as a bumblebee.

The parade does have a few touches of spookiness to it but for the most part is not frightening. Most of the attractions and shows will be open for your enjoyment as well as a few special shows and events that can only be enjoyed on these evenings. The Hallo-wishes fireworks show is amazing and every child's favorite, trick or treating is a huge draw. There are a number of candy stations set up all over the park for you and your kids to gather up their goodies.

We have been enjoying the event since the boys were quite young, and have always been able to have fun without the boys being frightened or alarmed. I am sure you will all have a boo-tiful time!
