If my kids receive Disney Gift Cards for their birthdays (which are both just prior to our sail date on the Dream this summer), will they be able to use them on the ship for things like souvenirs, smoothies, or video game play in the Arr-cade?

    Ahoy Pam!
It is wonderful to hear from you again! This is a great question, and I'll be happy to fill you in on the details on how gift cards can be redeemed onboard a Disney Cruise.  Most purchases onboard are placed on your Key to the World card which will be linked to the credit card you place on file when you complete your online check-in.  You will be allowed to designate which members of your family will have charging privileges at this time as well.  If you want your kids to have charging privileges, you can stop by Guest Services and apply their gifts cards to their Key to the World cards. When they go to make their purchases, it will be deducted from the gift cards before being charged to your credit card.  They can use their Key to the World cards to purchase souvenirs, specialty drinks such as smoothies, snacks for movies, and an arcade card (Key to the World cards are used to purchase a separate arcade card).
My family always has a stack of gift cards on our sailings, and Guest Services makes it super easy to apply them to your account at any time!
Thanks again for stopping by, Pam!
    Have a magical day!
