Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Alex!
I am glad you sailed by with another great question. Are your three pirates-in-training beyond excited to be heading out on their high seas adventure? If you haven't already, be sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. The magic really comes alive once onboard, but in the meantime it has a cute countdown that can help your kids number the days until their Disney Cruise!
Although no guest wants to worry about motion sickness while on vacation, it is good to be aware that the rocking of the boat can cause some guests to feel seasick. Disney Cruise Line has advanced stabilization technology that helps reduce some of the movement you may expect to feel. With that being said, weather and sea conditions can create some extra movement.
My kids took Bonine for Kids prior to and during our first sailing and experienced no issues. I also take Bonine as I do suffer from motion sickness from time to time. This works really well for us. For a natural product, we have also liked SeaBands. You will want to check the ingredients for allergens and speak with your family physician for their thoughts as well.
In the event any guest in your stateroom begins to feel sick, you can visit the
Health Center for assistance as needed. Located on Deck 1, Forward, the Health Center offers over-the-counter medications, bandages and other quick remedies (like cold medicine or motion sickness assistance).
Guest Services (Deck 3, Midship) can also provide first aid and over-the-counter remedies.
Happy and healthy sailing! Angie
