My kids are 8, 6, and 3 months as of right now. Wanted to know when the best time would be to take the kids? Really don't like taking them out of school but hate going when things are to crowded. Also is there one park over another to skip with their ages?

Hi Laureen, Your kids are going to love visiting Walt Disney World! I totally understand your dilemma of vacationing when it is typically less crowded, yet not pulling the children out of school. Although there are no guarantees on crowd levels, there are some holidays and school breaks that do typically have higher crowds that I tend to avoid myself. I find when schools are out for Spring Break, the summer months, and the week before and after Christmas the parks tend to be more crowded. There is an unofficial website allearsnet.net that has a great breakdown of historic attendance levels that you may check out. If your schools have a winter or fall break, that is a great time of year to visit or if your kids have a teacher planning day that may allow for a long weekend getaway. I really love all of the Walt Disney World theme parks. It is almost like choosing my favorite child! However, we never visit Walt Disney World without going to Magic Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios. If I had to skip one park, it would probably be Epcot strictly due to the ages of your children. Although we love all the attractions at Epcot, your kids may really enjoy seeing the animals and exploring The Boneyard, a dinosaur playground at Disney's Animal Kingdom. If you happen to have the park hopper option to your ticket, you could actually hit Disney's Animal Kingdom park first thing in the morning and then hop over to Epcot to spend the remainder of your day. Some of my "not to miss" attractions for young children are Toy Story Mania and Disney Junior - Live on Stage at Disney's Hollywood Studios; Peter Pan's Flight, "it's a small world," Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Pirates of the Caribbean at Magic Kingdom; Kilimanjaro Safari and Festival of the Lion King show at Disney's Animal Kingdom;  Soarin', Spaceship Earth, The Seas with Nemo & Friends, and Turtle Talk with Crush at Epcot. I hope this helps! Please let us know if we can answer any more questions for you! Happy Planning! Jodie
