Hi DeAnn,
Welcome back to planDisney. Your question immediately warmed my heart because I have such fond memories of my school band days. Though our band group didn't get the chance to visit
Walt Disney World Resort, I'm thrilled to hear your children will get to experience this magical trip in just a few short days!
I consider myself to be a Disney foodie, so I'm always on the hunt for a delicious morsel when I have a rumbly in my tumbly like our friend Winnie the Pooh. Luckily, there are so many fantastic quick-service locations your children won't be limited to honey pots during their trip. My kids like to grab an order of mini corn dogs and fries from
Casey's Corner at Magic Kingdom Park and never say no to pizza from
PizzeRizzo at Disney's Hollywood Studios. I'm hoping yours will find their own favorite little "smackerels" during their visit.
I reached out to a friendly Cast Member to see if they could share a list of approved dining locations, but unfortunately, there was not a standard list available. Though he let me know meal vouchers can typically be used at all quick-service restaurants, he recommended verifying the exact details and locations with your band leader based on the contract established with their group. He also advised that these vouchers can only be redeemed in person, so unfortunately your kids wouldn't be able to use them for
Mobile Food & Beverage Orders. I know this might have you saying "oh, bother" but I hope this doesn't put too much of a damper on their trip.
If you'd like to make sure they have access to a mid-day snack or sweet treat at day's end outside of their meal vouchers, you can certainly send them along with a
Disney Gift Card which can be redeemed during mobile ordering. This way they can pick up a morsel or two to enjoy when they need a little pick me up. My fellow panelist
Ashley has some great step-by-step details on using a Disney Gift Card for Mobile Orders.I hope this helps DeAnn! Please stop back and see us again with any other questions. I'm wishing your kids a most magical visit! Just remind them to beware of Heffalumps and Woozles.
Magic and memories,
Amy
