My kids are 11 and 18 but love Disney. What resort room would be the best for magical experience without seeming like it was designed with a toddler in mind. Specifically my son loves pirates and my daughter loves Cinderella and Big Hero 6

  • Hi Jessica!   Walt Disney World is filled with magic, not only for the young but also the young at heart. This magic includes the amazing Guest rooms at Disney Resort hotels.  I have an option that would please both your tween princess and your teenage pirate.

If you're looking for more adult theming I would suggest a room at Disney's Contemporary Resort. To please your princess you could book a room with a Theme Park View. With this room you would be able to watch fireworks from the Magic Kingdom light up the sky each night. Most Theme Park View rooms  also have an amazing view of Cinderella Castle. Your daughter would be able to wake up right next to the iconic castle that so many little girls wish was their home (I know I sure did.)   Disney's Contemporary Resort  also has an option to please your pirate loving son. The Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage departs from Disney's Contemporary Resort most evenings. This pirate adventure will allow your family to indulge in yummy snacks, meet favorite Disney Pirate pals and enjoy a fun journey around Seven Seas Lagoon. During the trip you will dock and get to watch Wishes Nighttime Spectacular from the perfect viewing spot . If you're lucky the Electrical Water Pageant may also pass by. This adventure is full of surprises that every swashbuckler will enjoy, including the young and young at heart. I know your whole family would love this experience, even my husband has asked to book this adventure during each of our vacations.  It's surely a must-do in my book.

Thanks for  visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel Jessica!  Enjoy your trip planning and please visit us again with any other questions you may have.

    Dream as Dreamers Do,

    ~Jen
