    Can the kids and I disembark w/ my hubby when he goes to run the 5K on Castaway Cay? Can we feasibly be at the starting line AND the finish line? Thanks so much, Nancy!

    Hi Laura!
    I'm excited to hear your husband is running the Castaway Cay 5K when you visit Disney's Bahamian paradise next May!  As a runner myself, I enjoy starting my day on the island with this three mile run!  The night before you arrive on Castaway Cay, check your Personal Navigator (cruise newsletter) for the meeting time and location for the following morning (usually, it is in one of the lounges onboard the ship).  You and your kiddos will be able to accompany him as he signs up and picks up his official "Run Disney" bib.  You can disembark the ship with the rest of the runners as a family or meet the group at the starting line which is located next to the Bike Rental hut.  The crew member in charge of the event will be able to give you an idea of the "official" start time if you decide to meet the group there.  The finish line is the same as the starting line so you can wait there to cheer on your husband as he finishes his run!  If he collects race shirts like me, there are Castaway Cay 5K t-shirts for sale for around $20 in the gift shop next to the starting line.  You can check them out during the run and surprise him if you'd like!
    In the past Mickey medals have been awarded at the finish line and "Finisher's certificates" have been delivered to Guest's staterooms so my fingers are crossed these items will be available on your sailing.
