Welcome back to planDisney, Jeffery! I’m happy to see that you’re busy planning a
Summer visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! Thanks for stopping by with your planning question.
I’m a big fan of
The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. It’s my family’s favorite place to stay! We even bring our dogs with us every time we visit. You really can’t go wrong with either option. Renting an RV and staying at the campsites is great, the facilities are always clean and convenient. Parking is also complimentary at the campsites. You can rest easy, because Disney has a list of preferred vendors you can
rent an RV from with confidence. But a stay at a cabin is just as awesome. All of the amenities and
benefits of staying at a Disney Resort hotel will be available to you at either accommodation.
Jeffery, the only difference I can see, if the amount you will pay is the same at either accommodation, is Mousekeeping. If you stay at the cabins, you will have the added service of a housekeeper coming into your cabin, to straighten things up while you are away during your adventures at the theme parks. The cabins will sleep up to six guests, so you will have plenty of room. The small deck and barbecue grill are always a plus for my family, too.
No matter which accommodation you decide on, I suggest visiting the
Special Offers section on Disney’s web site before your visit. There are offers available for every season of the year! Did you know that you can add a Special Offer to an existing reservation? If you book your stay this weekend, and find an offer that coincides with the dates of your Summer visit in a few months, you may be able to take advantage of those savings. I always check for them and have been able to save on my
Disney Resort hotel stays many times over the years!
I hope this information is helpful to you. Please feel free to come back to see us if you have any other planning questions. It’s our pleasure to help you with all the details of your next
magical vacation!
