Ahoy there, N John! Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your question before you sail away very soon.
I suggest using a lanyard for your kids to carry their
Key to the World Card. That will keep the cards from slipping out of their pockets or being misplaced. If you and your kids are
Castaway Club members, they will receive a lanyard with their current member level on it. If you all are first-timers, you will need to purchase a lanyard. There are usually some onboard if you all would like a Disney Cruise Line-specific lanyard (subject to availability).
If you all happened to have ordered a
DisneyBand+ (or have a MagicBand+ from the Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort), those can also be used to open your stateroom as long as they are connected to your MyDisney Account. Since your sailing is so close, you will not be able to pre-order a DisneyBand+, but limited selections can be purchased onboard in the
shops (subject to availability).
Whether you all use a Key to the World Card or a DisneyBand+, one of them will be needed to debark and embark on the ship at Ports of Call and on debarkation day. That's why it is so important to keep up with them! Guests 18 years and older will also need a photo ID to debark and embark the ship.
N John, if you have any other questions, come back to visit us at
planDisney. We are happy to help!
Bon Voyage!
