    My kids 7 & 5 already know we are going to DW in Feb., but I would like to do something for Christmas for them since it's closer to vacation. Thinking about putting together a box of things to take with us like shirts to wear, ect.what do you sugges

    Nicole,

    That is such a smart way to get the kids excited for the vacation that is right around the corner!

    I would include some of the following items in an "excitement box" to really get them started daydreaming about their trip;

    • Park Maps. Create customized maps on the Disney website.
    • Autograph books. Including books (and large pens to go with them) can get them started visualizing the fun. If you go to disneystore.com, you will even find a Travel & Vacation section.
    • Ear Hats Personally, I like getting them at the park. But you can order them at the Disney Store online too.
    • I'm Going to Walt Disney World window cling. Let them show off a bit to their friends!
    • T-Shirt. Either design a family shirt, or get them a resort shirt from the parks.
    • Pins. Pin collecting is fun, and you can get them a starter set with a lanyard.
    Most of these are things you can buy on that website. But do a little bit of creating as well. Print out some pictures of your resort, to get them excited for where they are going to stay. Print out the menus of some of the fun restaurants so they can plan what they are going to eat. Finally, get them a guidebook so they can feel like they are involved in the planning.

    I hope that this is a good start? Write me back if you want more suggestions!

    Have a magical vacation!
