Any kid-friendly activities or events in the Boardwalk area in the evenings? We are arriving in the late afternoon on our 1st day at Disney (staying at Beach Club Villas) - looking to stay fairly close to resort for dinner, etc. Can you see the fireworks?

    Hi Jaclyn!

Disney's BoardWalk Entertainment District is absolutely my favorite non-theme park area of Walt Disney World Resort. There is always so much to see and experience!

I highly recommend a visit to Ferris W. Eahlers Community Hall. Enjoy arts & crafts, video games, arcade games, a photo booth, and more in this low-key, recreation center. With something for everyone, this is a fantastic place to recharge your batteries while your younger Mouseketeers work off some of their seemingly endless energy.

As you stroll across the wooden planks of the BoardWalk, stop and enjoy the live entertainment and carnival style experiences. Try your hand at a basketball challenge, stop while a talented artist exaggerates your features in a caricature portrait, even catch a magician or juggler on some evenings. This area is always alive with activity against the backdrop of beautiful Crescent lake. We love to pick up a delicious treat from Ample HIlls Creamery, claim a seat on one of the benches in the area, and take in the sights and sounds of the area.

How about a movie? Walt Disney World Resort hotels host a nightly Movies Under the Stars experience that you must check out. Currently, Movies Under the Stars are shown at Disney's BoardWalk Villas by the Community Hall and, also within walking distance, Disney's Beach Club Resort on the lawn by the Volleyball courts or in the Solarium. Check your Resort Recreation Calendar located in your check-in packet for offerings during your stay.

    Wishing you many magical memories,

    Sally
