Hi Gretchen!
Welcome back to planDisney! I happen to be the mother of a very particular 9-year old who finds even traditional kid fare not to her liking. I love her, but man, what kid doesn’t like peanut butter and jelly? Mine! It’s “peanut butter no jelly” only in this house. My older three will try anything, but not the little one. This can make dining quite the challenge.
Both
Cape May Cafe at Disney’s Beach Club Resort and
Sebastian’s Bistro at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort are currently serving a family-style meal, and unfortunately, they do not offer a separate children’s menu at this time. I would recommend you take a look at each menu and decide if you think your children would enjoy eating there or not.
At the Cape May Cafe my daughter is likely to enjoy the rolls, the corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, and possibly the peel-n-eat shrimp, but likely only if I peeled them for her. I have to admit, while the menu at Sebastian’s Bistro looks delicious to me, it might be difficult to find something my daughter would enjoy. She loves carbs, and so I could likely fill her up on dinner rolls! If you feel your kiddos would not enjoy the menu, I would recommend you look at booking other dining locations.
Some of my kiddos’ favorites include
Chef Mickey’s (because waffles are always good),
Yak & Yeti at Disney’s Animal Kingdom,
Tony’s Town Square Restaurant at Magic Kingdom, and
Garden Grill at Epcot. If you are looking for locations in resorts,
Oliva’s Cafe at Disney’s Old Key West Resort was a big hit with everyone on our last trip, and we always love
Kona Cafe and
‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
I hope you find the perfect dinner spot for your family, Gretchen. Please let us know what other questions we can help with!
