Heya Gabby!
Welcome once again to planDisney! We're happy to see you here and I'm excited for you to visit the Disneyland Resort at the end of the year. What a wonderful way to see out last year and welcome the new one! It sounds like you have some questions about ticket terminology and reservations, so let's elaborate on some of these details.
Over at the Disneyland Resort, annual passes are known as "
Magic Key Passes," and I am guessing that these are what you are referring to in your question. There are multiple types of Magic Key Pass Types, each with differing benefits and blockout dates. Having a Magic Key is not the same thing as having a reservation, however. Magic Key Holders still need to book reservations on the days that they would like to visit.
Most Guests visit the Disneyland Resort by purchasing regular
Theme Park Tickets through the Disneyland website. All Park Guests need a valid ticket and park reservation in order to visit. Usually, park reservations are automatically made for you as part of the ticket purchase process. You can check your reservations or make new ones at
Ticket and Reservation Details. It is very important to make sure that you have a reservation for all the dates of your visit!
During your visit, the
Holiday Season festivities will still be going on! Be sure to grab that Mickey Gingerbread Cookie if you see one! I'm glad that you'll be seeing the Happiest Place on Earth when it is so beautifully decorated for the Season and I hope you have a truly magical visit.
Gabby, I hope that this was helpful information for you as you prepare for your trip. If there is anything else that we can do for you, please reach out again anytime. You're always welcome at planDisney! Until next time!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
