Will the Key to the World card scan at rides if it is in a plastic case or would you need to remove it before?

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Kara!

Welcome BACK to planDisney! It is great to see you here asking another question about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. I’m so glad you trust us to provide you with answers. It is our mission to help Guests like you experience the most magical vacation possible.

Wearing a lanyard with a plastic card holder to keep your Key to the World Card handy and safe is a great idea. You can find fun Disney-themed lanyards to add a little more pizzazz to your accessories. Anytime I put a Key to the World Card into a plastic lanyard case, I have no problem using it at tap points or to enter my Disney Resort hotel room or Disney Cruise Line stateroom. If the plastic case you are referring to is the pliable plastic you find attached to lanyards, you should have no problem using it to tap into a Disney World attraction

I hope this information helps you plan for an out-of-this-world Walt Disney World vacation, Kara! We are here for you and happy to help our Pals find answers, so come back any time you have a Disney vacation question.

    See Ya Real Soon!
