Welcome Home, Jeanne!
And a great big beautiful welcome to planDisney. Thank you so much for knocking on our door here with your question. As a Disney Vacation Club Member for the last 22 years, I love helping my fellow DVC neighbors.
Jeanne, one of my favorite things about Disney Vacation Club Resort Villas - including the two bedrooms at
Disney's Old Key West Resort - are the home sweet home amenities. Now, the heart of every home is always the kitchen, and the two-bedroom Villas have a full-sized kitchen - with gadgets and gizmos aplenty, including a traditional, full-sized 12/14 cup coffee pot. Like you, Jeanne, I am a big fan of getting my day off to a zip-a-dee-doo-da start with coffee, so we love having the traditional coffee pot. However, if you prefer a Keurig, you can call down to the Front Desk and see if you can request one for your room. Often an alternate option can be provided, pending availability of course.
Our family usually travels with a few helpful supplies, like coffee filters, tea, freezer bags, and ziplock snack bags. This is one of our budget tips for saving a bit of money on our grocery order during our stay. However, should you need anything during your stay, there are a few grocery items at
Conch Flats General Store at the main building.
Here's a tip, Jeanne! Typically, each Villa will come with some Joffrey's coffee in the room. Should you need more, you can place a request for more through the
"Hey Disney" device in your room. It's the electronic with Mickey Ears that is like your own personal mirror mirror on the wall and you can ask it anything! Whether you need more supplies, towels, or blankets for your Villa, need to know the theme park start times, are looking for some Disney Trivia, or want a wake up call from your favorite Disney pals, this can all be done straight from your room on "Hey Disney." It's like having magic at your fingertips - literally!
I hope this helps you, Jeanne! If you have any further
Disney Vacation Club questions, knock on my door, and I'll be happy to lend you a neighborly hand.
Magically Yours,
Keri
