I keep reading about pillowcases that can be signed by the characters. I'm looking for more details. Are these just standard white cotton pillowcases, or is there a special type of case I need to buy? Trying to be prepared! Thanks for all the help!

    Welcome back, Gina!

Disney Cruise Line's Guest Services team is wonderful about allowing guests to drop off up to two items per stateroom to be signed by the Disney characters during your sailing. Many guests leave pillowcases, photo mats, Vinylmation, t-shirts and other fun Disney items. The pillowcases can be anything you'd like. Some guests order pillowcases from Etsy or their local embroidery shop that are embroidered with their children's names on the side. Others bring a pillowcase from their child's Disney themed sheet set. And of course, some bring just a plain pillowcase. Whatever you'd like it fine!

When you bring your items to Guest Services, you'll fill out a form with your name, stateroom, item and check a box if you'd like the main Disney characters (think Mickey and his gang) only or if you'd like the princesses too - or only the princesses. My family likes to include a little box of candy in the bag with our items as a thank you to the Cast Members who take the time to have this done for us. Unless you want all black, you may want to also include some different colored fabric markers in your bag so that the autographs are colorful. In my experience, the bright rich colors work great, but the light green and yellow fade away after a few washes, leaving my kids sad that the autograph from that character is gone. So, stick with the dark rich colors like red, orange, dark green, blue, pink and purple and your kids will be much happier in the long run!

Before the last night of your sailing, your item will be returned to your stateroom, all signed, along with any markers you had included! It sure makes for a nice surprise souvenir for the kiddos!

Stop back again, Gina, if you have other questions before you set sail. I'm happy to help!
