I keep reading all of you make multiple trips a year to WDW. Is this part of your "job"? Or do you just save? How can I save to be able to travel like all of you?

The Panelists did each receive a trip to WDW as a reward for service on the Moms Panel. This in noted in the fine print at the bottom of the Moms Panel home page. However, we all were serious Disney travelers looong before we joined the Panel in January 2008.

Other than our reward trip, we have each paid for our own travel to Disney World over the course of years, and in some cases, decades. We all have different backgrounds and different incomes, so our personal vacation payment strategies are different. However, for the most part, yes, we just saved enough for multiple trips.

In my case, several years ago, my family purchased a significant number of points in the Disney Vacation Club, which has allowed us to take more vacations than we would otherwise have been able to afford. Others of us are serious penny pinchers. Others have had budget-friendly Disney trips, staying at the value resorts, driving rather than flying, packing lunches, etc.

There are many ways to enjoy WDW and many ways to pay for trips. Each of us on the Panel independently came to the conclusion that vacation time with our families was a priority, so we chose to save and budget for that. However, we completely recognize that every family situation is unique, so our goal here is to help guests have the best possible experience with their own precious families, no matter what their budget or frequency of travel.
