I keep hearing about the Kitchen Sink Sundae & wondering how far it is from the Contemporary where we'll be staying in 12/08? Would it be worth making a special trip to experience this? 5 adults and 2 little ones (5 & almost 4) Sounds yummy, Thx

My family has the Kitchen Sink Sundae on almost every family vacation. It's a fun (and yummy) tradition that's part of our family lore. But we usually stay at the Beach Club so the Beaches and Cream Soda shop that serves the Sundae is right at our resort. I'm not sure I'd make the trek from the Contemporary to the Beach Club just for dessert.

If, however, you'll be spending some time at Epcot or Disney's Hollywood Studios, then you could easily get to the Beach Club for a go at the Sink. To get to the Beach Club from Epcot, simply walk out the International Gateway exit located between the England and France pavilions in the World Showcase. The Beach Club is about a five minute walk from there.

Similarly, if you're at DHS, there is a very pleasant boat ride that stops at the Yacht and Beach Club. The ride takes about 10 minutes and is a great way to explore the waterways of the Epcot area hotels.

If you decided that you did want to use Disney transportation just to go to the Beach Club for the sink, this is the way I'd suggest you get there: Contemporary to DHS via bus, DHS to BC via boat.
