Hi Katie! Welcome to planDisney. I’m so glad you stopped by with your thoughtful question. It’s always smart to plan ahead when it comes to medical needs during your stay at the Disneyland Resort. Let’s make sure you’re all set for a comfortable and stress-free visit!
I reached out to the
Disneyland Help Line and spoke with a kind and knowledgeable Cast Member named Jaime. After checking with the hotel team, he confirmed that you may indeed keep a cooler with dry ice in your Disneyland Resort hotel room if it’s for medical purposes. You’ll just want to let the Front Desk know about it when you check in so they can make a note on your reservation. Jaime also mentioned that the dry ice should stay safely contained inside your cooler at all times. If you ever need help managing your cooler during your stay, such as moving it between locations, bell services may be able to assist, so don’t hesitate to ask.
It’s also worth keeping in mind that while dry ice is permitted in your hotel room for medical reasons, it isn’t allowed
inside Disneyland or Disney California Adventure. If you’ll need to carry medications or temperature-sensitive items with you in the parks, reusable ice packs are the best way to go. And just a quick reminder: the cooler must be no larger than a standard 6-pack size to meet park entry guidelines.
If you’d like additional support while navigating the parks, I recommend reaching out to the
Disneyland Disability Services team before your visit. They can help you review available options, including Disability Access Service, and ensure your time at the Resort is as smooth and magical as possible.
Katie, I hope this helps you feel fully prepared for your upcoming stay. If you have more questions or would like personalized recommendations, please visit us again at planDisney. We’re always happy to help you make your Disneyland days as magical and comfortable as can be.
Wishing you a wonderful and relaxed visit filled with happy moments and plenty of pixie-dusted memories!
