    Hi Kathie! We are arriving at WL in 4 days - our family's first visit to WDW! We booked a woods view room but are there certain floors/better areas to ask for when checking in (low noise)? We have two boys (5&2). And is there a room with trains at WL?

    HI Jennifer!

    Welcome to the Wilderness Lodge! What a fun place!

    Our family always requests a room on the north side facing the magic kingdom. We prefer an upper floor. Some of these rooms have fairly good views of the Wishes fireworks, which are partially obstructed by the trees and forest. These rooms might work great for your, since you'll still get a glimpse of the fireworks if your young ones need to head to bed early! While requests are never guaranteed, but our family has always had great luck! I hope you get a wonderful view, and enjoy the lodge!

    The Carolwood Pacific Room, which is the lobby of the the VIllas at Wilderness Lodge, does have some train memorabilia and models. Its just a quick walk from the main lobby of the lodge to the villas (located along the way to the bus stops). There is also what looks like a wood cart for a train system located near the lobby fireplace in the Wilderness Lodge.

    Also, at check-in time, don't forget to ask for a calendar of events to see what free and paid activities will be going on during your stay. My kids love the cookie decorating and rubber duck races. Sometimes there are even movies on the beach!

    Have a great vacation! I can't wait for our next trip to the Wilderness Lodge as well! Just a little over a week for us!
