On Kali River and other water rides, are the center compartments big enough to hold a backpack to keep everything dry?

    Hi Bonnie!

OH! Kali River Rapids is one of my favorite rides in all of Disney World! If you get the chance to experience after dark, be sure to ride it then. The view of Everest all lit up at night is one that you don't want to miss!!

The center compartment is big enough for an average sized backpack. The compartment is shared among all riders in the raft, but we've never had a problem fitting everything in.

Just an FYI, occasionally the compartments will be slightly wet - if they weren't closed properly on previous rides. We haven't had an issue with this, but I wanted to let you know. And be sure to shut the compartment all the way when your things are in it because you will get wet!

I hope you have a great time at Animal Kingdom and on Kali!
