Are the Kali River Rapids in Animal Kingdom and Splash Mountain in Magic Kingdom always closed during January/February?

    Hi Sandy!

Both Kali River Rapids in Disney's Animal Kingdom and Splash Mountain in Magic Kingdom Park are great ways to cool down, especially during those hot summer afternoons, but they aren't always as popular during the cooler winter months.

That being said, the Walt Disney World Resort tries to maintain all of its attractions 365 days a year, so there are no set seasonal closures for these attractions.  Of course, ride operation is always subject to change, and there are occasional closures for inclement weather and below freezing temperatures, but you probably would not want to experience either of these potentially soaking attractions in that type of weather anyway!

Also remember that there are occasional attraction closures for refurbishment to help make sure that all of the attractions stay as perfectly magical as they were the day that they opened.  Currently, there are no refurbishments on the schedule for either of these attractions in January or February, but that is always subject to change.  Keep an eye on the schedule for refurbishments and the Disney Parks Blog for any announcements about temporary closures that you may encounter during your pixie-dusted trip!

Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
