What is going on june 11th till 15th

    Hi Dan!

Thanks for bringing this question to planDisney! This summer is going to be such a great time to visit Disney World!

In addition to the regularly scheduled park hours, there are some fun events happening during your visit. Let’s chat about the events happening after park hours first, then get into what to expect during the day.

Over at Epcot, there are a couple of opportunities to enjoy some shorter queues at the attractions. On June 11, 2026, Epcot is hosting a Disney After Hours event. This is a separately ticketed event that includes admission to the park that night, special character meet and greets, and select snacks and beverages. Then, at the very end of your trip (on June 15, 2026), Epcot will be open for Extended Evening Hours, which is a perk for deluxe Disney World resort guests.

Moving on to the water parks! On June 13, 2026, Disney H2O Glow After Hours will be taking place at Typhoon Lagoon. At this event, you’ll enjoy shorter wait times at the attractions, rare character meet and greets, snacks and beverages, and even a DJ dance party. Tickets are currently on sale if you’re considering some water park fun during your trip.

Now, let’s end with what will be going on at the parks and resorts during the day. This year, Cool KIDS’ SUMMER is back, and that event always brings so much fun. Throughout your stay this June, you’ll find limited-time character experiences around the parks and resorts, both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach water parks will be open at the same time to enjoy, and Disney World resort guests will get free admission to the water park on their arrival day.

In addition to all of that, there are some exciting openings happening around the theme parks right before your trip. Here’s a quick breakdown:

Magic Kingdom - Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger spin recently reopened, and Big Thunder Mountain is reopening on May 3, 2026.

Hollywood Studios - On May 22, 2026, Smugglers Run will debut a new mission. And on May 26, 2026, Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! will debut, and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets will open.

Epcot - Soarin’ Around the World will become Soarin’ Across America for a limited time beginning on May 26, 2026.

Animal Kingdom - On May 26, 2026, Bluey and Bingo will start meeting guests at Conservation Station.

I hope that helps! Have the BEST trip! And let us know if you have any other questions.

    Jenn J.
