We'll be there for July 4th,are there any special celebrations for this day planned?

Specific plans for 2009 have not been announced yet. However, going by the happenings in recent years, you can expect that there will be special Independence Day fireworks shows at the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Downtown Disney. You might find it helpful to go to the website allears.net and search there for an article called "Fourth of July Celebrations." You can see what WDW did for the 4th in 2008. Hopefully this will give you a jump start for your 2009 planning.

Whatever you decide to do, you should be aware that July 4 is always among the very busiest days of the year at WDW. You can expected the parks to be packed to the gills, perhaps even more that usual this year because the 4th falls on a Saturday. You should arrange to be wherever you're planning to spend your evening well in advance of any events you want to attend.

You should also be sure to check out the Hall of Presidents during your stay. This attraction will be reopening with a new show on July 1, 2009 featuring the addition of Barack Obama to the lineup of presidents. I can't wait to see it.
