Hello! We have July 4th reservations for Mickey's BBQ and I want to glimpse the fireworks while avoiding the parks (this is our resort day). Can we watch from the BBQ, or catch the boat to MK around 8:30 then hop on the bus? Any ideas?

    Hi Lesli!

Mickey's Backyard BBQ at the Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is so much fun! It's great for both kids and parents and you will have a great time watching the show and enjoying the delicious food.
I completely agree with you about not wanting to be in the park to watch Wishes on July 4th. It can get pretty crowded and I much prefer to watch Wishes from afar. You can see Wishes from the beach at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. You can see the Electrical Water Pageant from the beach as well.

You can also certainly catch the boat from Fort Wilderness to the Magic Kingdom if you would like to go to the park to watch the show, however you certainly don't have to be in the park to enjoy the view.

The boat dock at Fort Wilderness is a popular place to view Wishes because you get a great view.

    Magically,
    Stacy
