We are going in July for my daughter's 7th birthday (2 par. & 4 child. ages 21 -7). We want it fun and want to do the character dining (Cinderella, others). I would like to have most or all meals paid for ahead of time. Which plan is best?

    Rose Mary,

It sounds as if you would want to choose between the Standard and Deluxe Dining Plans. Standard gives you one table service meal, one quick service meal, and one snack per evening spent at the Disney resort. Deluxe gives you three table service meals per evening.

The Deluxe Plan will put you in a place where more of your dining is paid for in advance. But the more affordable Standard plan might better match what you would have originally done before the dining plans came into consideration.

To decide, you could price out what you would spend by viewing the menus on the Disney World site, or at AllEars.net, then compare to your Dining Plan cost options. But that is a ton of work, I know. A simpler way to compare is to list out how many table service meals you have planned during your stay. If you are going to eat at two sit-down meals per day, on average, you are probably going to want to go with the deluxe.

That is a general suggestion. Send me more details of your plans, I can give you a more specific suggestion!

Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
