Hey there, hi there, Jill! Welcome back to planDisney. We are so happy to see you back with another great question for us!
I, too, am looking forward to the
Jolly Holiday refurbishment coming to an end so I can enjoy some sweet treats and the famous Jolly Holiday combo (basil tomato soup and toasted cheese sandwich). That sounds especially good this week with the clouds and rain we've had. I know I have certain routines when I visit the parks, so I am happy to share that I did a little menu searching and found that
Red Rose Taverne has hot tea on the menu. If you prefer to grab something on Main Street, there is always
Market Street, which serves Starbucks items, and they should have some hot tea options as well.
Now for the sweets! My go-to stop for a sweet treat is usually
Candy Palace on my way out of the parks. I live a few hours away, so I like to grab a treat for the ride home or for the next day when I have the Disney blues because I'm working instead of being in the parks. My favorite item there is the Peanut Butter Square. I recommend the Rocky Road w/ Almonds or the S'Mores Cereal Treat Bar for chocolate items. I am not sure when your last visit was, but in Downtown Disney, Marceline's Confectionary is now
Wonderful World of Sweets, and I definitely recommend stopping in. Here, you will find some of the same treats from Candy Palace, but I come here for Werther's Original Caramel Popcorn that is made fresh there! I fell in love with this at Walt Disney World, and I'm thrilled I can get it at Disneyland now too.
Jill, thanks again for visiting us! I hope your visit is full of magic and sweets!
Carrie
