Hi Mary!
Welcome to planDisney!
Yes! You will be able to join a
Virtual Queue at 7 AM on your park day, even if your Lightning Lane pre-selections are in a different park, as long as you have a valid
park hopper ticket linked to your My Disney Experience account. The Virtual Queues often fill up fast, so I recommend clicking through the prompts in your
My Disney Experience app as quickly as you can.
If you don’t snag a Virtual Queue for the attraction you’re hoping for at 7 AM, you’ll have a second chance at it at 1 PM. The only catch is that you need to be in the park of the attraction you’re going for when you try to join the Virtual Queue at 1 PM (unlike the 7 AM Virtual Queue opening, where you can be anywhere).
There are currently two rides at Disney World that offer Virtual Queues:
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom and Guardians of the Galaxy at Epcot. Once you join the Virtual Queue, you will be given a Boarding Group. When your Boarding Group is called, you’ll have one hour to return to the ride. From that point, the wait time will vary, as you’ll enter the ride through the standby queue.
If
Guardians of the Galaxy is the ride you have your sights set on, it’s good to note that it also offers a
Lightning Lane Single Pass. While Lightning Lane Single Passes are an extra cost, you’ll be able to book them in advance of your trip (pending availability) at the same time you book Lightning Lane Multi Pass, choose your return time, and enter the queue through the Lightning Lane instead of the standby queue.
With your park hopper, you can book up to 2 Lightning Lane Single Passes per park day. And they don’t need to be in the same park.
Let us know if you have any other questions! We’re always happy to help!
