Hi Jodie, hope you had a fun vacation! Trying to decide if Dining Plan works for us. We normally don't eat dessert after lunch- can I get bottle water/fruit to go to substitute dessert in QS credit? Where can we refill the resort mug at BLT? Thanks!

Thanks so much for asking about our trip, Jessica!  Our favorite vacations are always a Disney Vacation and this one was no exception! To be honest, I have never asked to make substitutions with the Disney Dining Plan so I cannot give you a definitive answer. I called DIsney Dining to verify my information and the cast member I spoke with was also unsure if you could substitute a bottled water or fruit for your dessert at quick service meals. My guess would be that you will probably not be able to make substitutions, but you may find that it depends on the specific dining location. If you would like to try the Disney Dining Plan, I would recommend getting a dessert at quick service meals that can be saved for later in the day.  I really try to limit my intake of sweets as well so when we were on the Disney Dining Plan in December, I would get a dessert at quick service meals that could be eaten later by one of my children. For example, at Casey's Corner in Magic Kingdom you could choose Cracker Jacks, a brownie, or Cotton Candy as a dessert. I remember that you have a two year old and I'm sure your "little Mouseketeer" would probably really enjoy having your dessert since he/she will not qualify for the Disney Dining Plan since they are under three years of age. We also used one quick service entitlement at breakfast which eliminated the dessert dilemma for me. I often used my snack entitlements for bottled water rather than for a snack. On our last day, we used our remaining snack entitlements to purchase snacks and bottled water for the ride home. At Disney's Bay Lake Tower, guests can refill their refillable mugs at Cove Bar by Bay Cove Pool and Contempo Cafe at Disney's Contemporary Resort. I hope I have helped.  Please feel free to write back with any additional questions regarding the Disney Dining Plan or your upcoming trip!  Best wishes for a Magically Delicious Disney Vacation, Jessica!
