Hi Jodie. I have been to Disneyland many times, and never had any crowd issues. We would now like to experience WDW but are worried it's always crowded and long lineups. Are there always crowds even during off seasons? What's the best time to go?

Hi there Lisa!  How exciting you are considering a trip to Walt DIsney World!  I have vacationed at Walt Disney World many times and have also visited the Disneyland Resort several years ago. Rest assured, the Walt Disney World theme parks are not always crowded with "long lineups." With that being said, I do take into consideration the crowd levels when planning our trips. I like to visit the unofficial website allears.net to view the Historic Attendance Levels Chart when choosing a vacation date. According to the Historic Attendance Levels Chart, you can anticipate the "lowest attendance" to be January until just prior to Presidents' Week in February, the week following Labor Day until the week prior to Thanksgiving, and the week following Thanksgiving until mid-December. The crowd levels are traditionally the highest during Spring Break Holidays, the Summer months when school is out, and Christmas Week through New Year's Day. I usually avoid the busiest times of the year. I would also recommend staying on property so that you can take advantage of Extra Magic Hours. Follow the link provided to learn more about Extra Magic Hours. I have found that my family is able to experience many of our favorite attractions with little to no wait during Extra Magic Hours. I hope this information helps! Please don't hesitate to visit me again with any additional questions. Best wishes for a magical Walt Disney World vacation, Lisa!
    Happy Planning,
    Jodie
