Hi Joanne! My 13 year old daughter just heard about archery at WDW. Can you tell me anything about it? Is this something a young teen would enjoy? Love the Moms Panel!

Hi Cathy! Love that you love the Moms Panel! You're so sweet to let us know! My 12 year old daughter and I just took the archery lessons a few weeks ago and LOVED (yup, it's worthy of capital letters) it! The lessons take place at Fort Wilderness Campground Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 2:45 pm and currently cost $25 (subject to change).

The lessons last about 90 minutes, which will give your Merida plenty of time to perfect her skills. I highly recommend booking in advance as each class has a maximum of 10. Call (407) 939-7529 to reserve and guarantee your spot.

If you want to see the experience first-hand, check out Disney's own archer extraordinaire, Gary, in the Disney Parks Blog.

I also recommend hiding the apples Cathy, because she might want to use her family practice her skills! Wishing you many bullseyes!
