Hi Joanne, We will need to call home (Ontario) from POFQ several times.Last time, we called collect - really expensive.Don't want to use cell phone (roaming charges).Do you suggest a calling card? Where do I get them from? Are they sold at Disney? thanks

Hi again Jana! Great question! I made the mistake once of calling my parents in Nova Scotia and charging it to my home number, and was charged a ridiculous amount. Last year, because we started with a road trip and spent a fair bit of time in the US, I bought one of those "disposable" cell phones while in the US. It was great because I had a number people could call and text to, and could easily add more airtime. I could only find a US one in the States though, so probably not an option. And as you said, using our Canadian cell phones is out of the question - the roaming charges are crazy!

If you are going for a week or two, I would definitely buy a calling card before you leave Canada. Be sure to double check that it can be used for calls FROM the States TO Canada. You'll be amazed at how much airtime you can get for $20!!

    Hope this helps Jana!
