    Hi Joanne, I'm sure that,as a fellow Canadian,you understand my pain about cell phone rates when traveling.Do you have any advice on saving money?Can I pick up a cheap phone close to WDW and activate it for a short time? Thanks.

    Oh, Marilea, I totally feel your pain! And then it hurts even more every time I see that roaming symbol on my phone! I've done it all - phone booths, collect calls, calling cards. One year, I even bought a disposable phone in the US, which was great! I recommend picking up a phone card before you leave home. Make sure it's one valid in both the US and Canada, and that it will work for calls FROM the US. Triple check this, as one time I got to the States to discover my card was only valid for calls made from Canada. And if you have time left on your card, you can use it for calls from home. If we're going for a week, I'm usually fine with a $10 card.
