    Hi Joanne, as a fellow Canadian I am hoping you can answer this ? for me. I have searched & can't find out if we can use Canadian quarters in the Penny Presses. I have seen where we can use our pennies, but will our quarters damage the machines? Than

    Hi Cynthia! Thanks for the great question! My daughter recently got into collecting the pressed pennies, and we found ourselves always looking for change. Now we're much more prepared, keeping our shiny pennies and saving US quarters as we get them. Although I haven't tried Canadian quarters in the pressed penny machines, I have inadvertently put Canadian quarters in other machines, and they either fall through or are never to be seen again. I wouldn't recommend trying. If you don't have the correct change, there are usually change machines or cashiers nearby. We now keep quarters in a separate change purse (a ziploc baggy works just as well) so the don't accidentally get spent.
