Hi Jo. Staying for 14 nts at CS, but will be off site for 3-4 days. Would dining plan still be worth it as not there all the time? Will only have table meals 8/9 times, so would quick service dining plan be better, or still worth doing normal ddp?

    Hi Immy,

I hope I've helped you in all your previous questions and thank you for asking more :-)

Your question is actually quite hard to answer, I love the Disney Dining Plan as it means all my food is already paid for before my holiday but with the exchange rate at the moment it's not cheap, it costs about $40 per adult per night and $11 per child 3-9 per night.

Whether you should buy it all depends on what meals you are planning to have at Disney, if you are planning several 2 credit meals such as Narcoossee's or Hoop Dee Doo then yes I would definitely recommend you buy the DDP. As you're staying at Coronado Springs Resort one thing to consider is that the Pepper Market is quite expensive so you would definitely come out ahead with the quick service part of the plan. What I suggest you do, I'm sorry but it will take a little work, is to look at the menus on www.allears.net and make a rough list of what you think you and your family will eat whilst at Disney. Then compare this to the cost of the DDP, you can see the official DDP brochure HERE. Remember you also get a snack in the DDP, we use these for Dolewhips, funnel cakes, ice-cream sandwiches and big lollipops to bring home as presents for my children's friends.

Sometimes if we have spare table service credits we book a table service breakfast such as O'Hana and then a table service dinner too!

As you are planning at least 8 table service meals I definitely would not suggest you get the quick service plan as you would end up with lots of spare credits and would still be paying extra for all your table service meals.

I hope that helps and please ask again if you have any more questions,

    Jo
