Hi Jo! Love the panel. We're staying at POR and are bringing my Mom along, who has some trouble keeping up. Wondering what building is best for her, with least walking to the bus? Is there a bldg. close to both bus and pool and food court?

    Hi Amy,

I'm so pleased you like the panel, we love answering all of your questions :-)

I've stayed at Port Orleans Riverside several times and it is a beautiful resort but is pretty large. The resort is split into 2 sections, the Alligator Bayou which has a rustic feel and Magnolia Bend which looks like old mansion buildings. The closest buildings to the main pool and the main lobby, where the food court and main bus stop are, are all in Alligator Bayou. Number 14 is the very closest followed by buildings 15 and 18. There is a great website all about Port Orleans at www.portorleans.org here you can view loads of photos and information about the resort including a map.

I would recommend you have it noted on your resort reservation that your Mom has mobility problems and you require a close room. Then between 3 and 5 days before your trip either fax the resort on 407-934-5777 or call on 407-934-6000 and check your requests have been noted. Please remember though that they are just requests and are not guaranteed but given your circumstances I'm sure the resort will do everything they can to accommodate your family!

    Have a fantastic trip,

    Jo
