Hi Shari!
I am so excited for you to discover the
magic of the holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort! It truly is "the most wonderful time of the year"!
I think you are smart to consider that although you will want to partake in as much of the holiday entertainment as possible, you don't want to over-schedule your family. I would focus on a few of the special holiday offerings that appeal to you the most, and add in others as you go to fill in the gaps. My top recommendation would be to attend
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. For not much more than the cost of the dessert party, you would have a whole evening of exclusive holiday entertainment, and holiday treats are included! The Once Upon A Christmastime Parade at the party is not to be missed.
If a reserved spot for
Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! is important to you, and the buffet of desserts and beverages would be something your family would enjoy, then maybe the
dessert party should be on your list of planned activities. If you are concerned about planning too much, you can always play it by ear instead, and grab your own treats and find yourselves a spot to view the show.
My personal favorite holiday event is the
Candlelight Processional. This beautiful holiday show features a celebrity narration of the first Christmas, accompanied by an orchestra and choir singing traditional Christmas hymns. Because this is my favorite show, it is worth it to me to reserve a
Candlelight Processional Dining Package to have a guaranteed seat for the show.
I hope that helps! Please come back to the Moms Panel with any additional questions you may have as you
plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Enjoy your visit!
