Jen, Thanks for the previous answer. Followup question ... if I get a meal plan, and my daughters are listed on the room with me, would they also need a meal plan even though they'd be cruising half the time?

    Hi, Rochelle!
Thanks for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You have an excellent follow-up question about the Disney Dining Plan!

Your assumption is correct. If you book a room for an eight-night stay at Walt Disney World with a dining plan with your daughters, all three of you will have dining credits for all eight days. That's a lot of extra dining credits while they are on that four-day cruise!

My family has used the dining plan many times in the past. Recently, we've decided to not use it for a few reasons. While we love that ability to have pre-paid for the cost of our food, the quick service and table service meals include way too much food. We love table service experiences. But in the end, tipping our servers is the same as the cost of a quick service meal! (The dining plan does not include a tip for table service meals.) Unless you're able to take advantage of the Walt Disney World Resort's free dining special offer, I would not recommend investing in the dining plan.

I hope that helps with your planning! I'm ready to answer any other questions you might send my way!
