January 2019 will be our 4th time at WDW since 2016. We have a 10 day ticket and 3 "down" days. What are some things that we may not have done before? Our children are 7 & 4. Dining reservations are already made. Thanks!

Hi there, Mandy! Down days can be some of the most fun days at Walt Disney World. You may not have to look too far to find it.

On down days, check for activities at your Walt Disney World resort hotel. The front desk of your resort will have an activities schedule that includes games at the pool, craft activities, and other fun things for the whole family. Many of them are even free.

Movies Under the Stars is a great way to end an evening - especially if you don't have to get up early the next morning to hit the theme park. The movies are shown at the Walt Disney World resorts, and are always family friendly selections. Grab a snack and enjoy the show.

Check out Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long at the Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. You can grab a S'mores kit at the Chuckwagon Snack Bar, and enjoy the ooey gooey goodness while you listen to the guitar playing cowboy crooning some old-time favorites. If you haven't caught the movie under the stars yet, you can watch here after you have a meet and greet with Chip and Dale.

A day visit to the campground is also a lot of fun. Tri-Circle-D Ranch is a great place to hang out, meet some horses, take a pony ride. You might be able to see the team of white horses that pull Cinderella's Royal Carriage - very cool.

    Have fun!
