Is January a good time to go to disney world?

    Hi Ginger!

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!  When choosing a date to visit the Walt Disney World Resort, I consider both the crowd levels and weather. My husband and I have visited several times in January to attend Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. Although the weather can be challenging to predict in January, the average high temperature in Orlando is usually in the low 70s with an average low temperature in the upper 40s. Regarding crowd levels, the parks are traditionally less crowded when schools are in session. After New Year's Day, you can expect the crowds to start thinning, which will make navigating the parks much easier. Even when visiting during Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, we didn't find the parks to be overly crowded.

Based on my own personal experience, I would highly recommend visiting Walt Disney World in January. I hope this information is helpful. Please don't hesitate to visit us again if you have any additional questions. Best wishes for a magical trip, Ginger!

    Happy Planning,
    Jodie
