Three Generations Aboard Ship; fireworks; night

    IN January I booked a reservation at Palo. This is our first cruise. I didn't realize the night I booked Palo is the same night at the formal dinner. Unfortunately everything else is booked. Should we skip Palo or the formal? I was looking forward to both

    Hi Heather!

    I understand how you feel about not wanting to miss Palo or formal night because I also enjoy both of these experiences.  The first idea that comes to mind is trying to switch your Palo reservation once you board the ship.  Palo does hold back some of their reservations for embarkation day, but they are first come, first serve.  Once you board the ship, head straight over to Guest Services which will be to your immediate left and pick up a Personal Navigator, your daily cruise newsletter.  On the front page, you will see directions for changing a Palo reservation.  My fingers are crossed that you are able to change your date, but if not I would keep your original reservation.  Being able to dine in this elegant, adult-only space is something you don't want to miss.  The culinary team cooks up the most delectable appetizers, entrees and the best dessert on the entire ship, chocolate souffle, for an amazing dining experience. 

    Since you don't want to miss formal night you can always dress the family up for pictures before you head to Palo or save the outfits for another night and have your own formal night on a night that is designated cruise casual.
