What is involved in bringing minor children on a cruise without their parents? Our children, 16 and 13 at sailing want to each bring a friend their age with us. Will we be able to give permission for them to parasail at Castaway Cay etc?

Welcome aboard, Jana! Your children are so lucky that you're considering taking not only them, but also their friends, on a magical cruise with Disney!

In order for guests to bring along children without their parents, a Minor Authorization Form must be completed for each of those children, signed by their parents. This form is available on Disney Cruise Line's website when the Online Check-In begins for guests, so you can remember to fill it out then. If you are a first time cruiser with Disney, your Online Check-In will begin 75 days prior to sailing. It is then that you can access your pre-booked reservation to begin checking in and book extras like Port Adventures as well as print out any necessary forms, such as the Minor Authorization Form. This gives permission for the children to cruise and participate in any activities with you. Bring the signed form with you to the port terminal and you'll be all set.

I hope that helps as you begin planning this exciting trip, Jana! Please stop back if you have other questions before you set sail! I'm happy to help!
