Hola Maria and welcome to planDisney; I'd also like to say congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
There is something extra magical about incorporating Disney touches into your wedding planning, as a way to remember all the stories of romance that I'm sure you've also watched come alive on the screen as you grew up. I had my own
Disney Fairy Tale Wedding and got married to a Prince of my own this year at
Walt Disney World Resort and we thought that it would be a wonderful idea to
send wedding invitations to Mickey and Minnie as many other Brides and Grooms have done in the past.
I asked a friendly Cast Member from the Disney Weddings team who confirmed that at the present time, there is no way to do so electronically. Instead, they recommended that couples interested in sending any invitations to character friends like Mickey and Minnie should do so via mail addressed as follows:
Mickey Mouse & Minnie MouseWalt Disney World Communications
P.O. Box 10040
Lake Buena Vista, Florida 32830Please note that as this seems to be an unofficial offering that is subject to availability and may change without prior notice, there is no guarantee whether they'll be able to respond and most couples just do this as a fun pre-wedding tradition without expecting anything to come back in the mail. There have been some lucky couples that I've heard about who have received a surprise autographed note in the mail and you might have better chances if you include a self-addressed return envelope with the proper postage.
Did you know that there is a way that you can actually have
Mickey and Minnie attend part of your wedding? We wanted to make sure that they were able to make an appearance even without receiving any official response to the wedding invitations that we sent in the mail, so we asked our
Disney Wedding Planning team to include them as part of our celebrations. (Just be aware that they can be booked for up to 30-minute increments and may have restrictions on certain locations as well as what they can or cannot do at your venue!)
I hope that this is helpful, Maria; I also recommend reaching out to
Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings if you haven't already, checking out some great
wedding inspiration featured on the Disney Parks Blog and connecting with fellow Disney Brides and Grooms around the world online - so much of my planning couldn't have happened without the help of a lot of fellow folks celebrating romance at Disney Destinations! Don't hesitate to come back to planDisney to
ask me more about wedding planning and incorporating Disney theming into your plans, I can talk about it for days!
Wishing you all the best as you plan for your Happily Ever After!
