Hello Janae! Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
International Gateway is the name of the "back door" entrance to
Epcot, located between the France and United Kingdom pavilions in World Showcase. This entrance is especially convenient for Guests staying at Disney's BoardWalk Inn and Disney's Yacht Club or Beach Club Resorts, as it is just a short walk away.
Here at the Moms Panel we are all very excited about the debut of the
Disney Skyliner transportation system! Set to begin transporting Guests this Fall, the Disney Skyliner will connect
Disney's Hollywood Studios and International Gateway at Epcot, and also will provide service to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney's Art of Animation Resort, Disney's Pop Century Resort, and the all-new
Disney's Riviera Resort.
Construction of the Disney Skyliner and the station near International Gateway has been under way for some time now, and should be wrapping up in the near future as
testing of the gondola system has been recently occurring. International Gateway has remained open during the construction period, and no announcements have been made of any upcoming closures.
I expect you'll be able to get a glimpse of the Disney Skyliner during your upcoming visit, as
several gondolas were recently unwrapped to reveal their Disney character designs.
Keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for more announcements regarding the Disney Skyliner!
Please let us know if we can answer any additional questions you may have. Enjoy your visit!
