Where is the most interesting restaurant for 4-9 year olds that doesn't require admission to a park? and that is opened by February 20th? What is a Disney secret that is good to know if you have children 4-9 years old?

Why hello there, Lisa! I'm glad to see you've followed the trail of snacks and found us here at planDisney. We're serious about food at Walt Disney World Resort, and you've certainly come to the right place to ask your question!

Walt Disney World Resort is called The Most Magical Place on Earth for many reasons, including the truly enchanting dining experiences! The best news is that you don't need to have a park ticket to enjoy some of these delicacies; you're able to have a fantastic feast in one of the many Disney Resorts Collection hotels as well!

To me, one of the most magical restaurants you can book is Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White! You will be immersed in a woodland wonderland, enjoy a great meal and a few characters might even stop by to say hello! As this experience often books up in advance, you can continue to check back daily to see if a reservation pops up. I've even had lots of luck grabbing a reservation very close (or even on the same day as) my trip arrival dates, as Guests' plans often change! If you have animal lovers in your travel party, you may also enjoy dining at Sanaa (or mobile order Sanaa to Go). These flavors are more adventurous, but always delicious, and you can even get an up-close-view of animals on the savanna!

One secret I love to share with kids traveling to Walt Disney World Resort (did I mention I'm terrible at keeping secrets?) is to pack a few Disney pins to trade with Cast Members. This is a fun way to COLLECT your souvenirs! You can trade with any Cast Member you see wearing a lanyard of pins, and oftentimes with Cast Members at the register of merchandise locations as well! You should also check out Disney's Pin Traders in Disney Springs. You can purchase Disney pins before your trip from shopDisney or other online retailers.

But Lisa, I want you to lean in close for the biggest secret of all. Have you done it? Great! Now, between you and me, the biggest secret is the magic that powers Walt Disney World Resort. It's the pixie dust that stirs up smiles, bubbles up laughter and creates unforgettable moments. Do you want to know what it is?

The true magic of Walt Disney World Resort is its Cast Members.

It's true! Cast Members at Walt Disney World Resort are some of the kindest humans who do everything they can to turn each day into the BEST. DAY. EVER! And they do it all without the help of a magic wand. Sometimes it's in a special conversation, a surprise birthday cupcake or a Disney Photopass Photographer who had a lot of fun making your kids smile. The best part is, your kids can also become a part of this magic! Having them pack little thank-you notes to hand out to Cast Members would be a great way to help the magic regenerate. You can even thank one personally through your My Disney Experience app by searching for Cast Compliment!

Lisa, I hope this helps you to create the most magical vacation!

Faith, trust and pixie dust -
