Welcome aboard, Norma! I am so thrilled with all of the new enhancements that the Imagineers have created for the Magic, and I'm sure you and your grandson will enjoy not only the enhancements but the classic parts of the ship as well!
The Magic does not have a Sports Simulator like the Dream and Fantasy do, but I'm happy to tell you that there is a wonderful area on Deck 10, Forward, that your grandson will surely enjoy.
The Wide World of Sports Deck includes a court for basketball, volleyball and soccer. Besides open play time in that area, oftentimes the Edge (the tween club onboard) will meet there for some organized activities that your grandson will love to take part in.
One deck below, on Deck 9 near the AquaLab, kids of all ages (yes, that includes you too!) can cool off with a refreshing treat from
Eye Scream and Frozone Treats. There are a variety of complimentary soft serve flavors available at Eye Scream, and they'll change throughout your sailing so you can try them all! Right next to Eye Scream is the all new Frozone Treats. There guests can purchase a delicious smoothie, and believe me, they mix up some delicious concoctions! While the menu is always subject to change, right now I am partial to the Synergizer, a mixture of coconut milk, lychee syrup, fresh mango, lychee and lemongrass. Yum!
You'll also find more
quick service food options on the pool deck at spots like Pinocchio's Pizzeria, Daisy's De-Lites and Pete's Boiler Bites. One thing I can promise is that you won't go hungry on the Disney Magic!
Have fun as you continue planning, Norma. Please stop back with more questions! I'm happy to help!
