I am interested in purchasing tickets for the kids and grandkids, and do not know when they would be able to travel to Flordia and what time frame the tickets will expire. Also I read that the person who purchased the tickets must be present also?

    Hi Gloria!

If you're looking to purchase regular Magic Your Way Tickets (with Park Hopper or Water Parks, Fun and More options, if you'd like), you'll have no worries on their expiration. These tickets do not expire until 14 days after their first use. You can keep these tickets until everyone is ready to visit Walt Disney World.

If you're looking to purchase discounted tickets such as Florida resident tickets or Military tickets you'll need to check the restrictions when purchasing these tickets. Many of these discounted tickets do require proof of residency or proof of identification in order to redeem your tickets.

The best advice I can give is to call Disney's ticket information line at 407-939-1289 and explain your situation to the Cast Member. They'll be able to help you with options and ticket requirements.

Hope you have a great time with your family!
