Hi, I was very interested in the picnic in the park in Animal Kingdom and found it was replaced by a 'grab 'n go' thru the Beastly Bazaar. I've heard that the Beastly Bazaar recently closed? Visit Nov '12

Hi, Daphne!  I was a huge fan of the Picnic in the Park option at Animal Kingdom during the cooler months.  It was a nice way to enjoy a meal with my family, enjoy the beautiful Florida weather, and relax in a spot totally our choosing as opposed to in a restaurant.

The picnic morphed into different things since it was originally introduced.  It's most recent form was grab and go options that you could put together at the Beastly Bazaar.  You are correct, the Beastly Bazaar did close earlier this year so that it could be transformed into something even more magical.  Unfortunately, this appears to be the end of the picnic in the park.  It currently is not being offered at any other location, and I cannot find information that indicates when - or where - it may return.

There are many wonderful dining opportunities at Disney's Animal Kingdom, and I hope you are not too disappointed about the picnic.  I know the ribs at Flame Tree BBQ made me feel much better about it.

    Enjoy your upcoming trip!
