Welcome aboard, Heather!
My family and I always add an extra day or two at the Walt Disney World Resort to our cruise vacations when we set sail out of Port Canaveral. Whether you enjoy it before or after your sailing, that extra Disney magic adds so many more memories for your family!
I don't believe there is any "deal" by booking a
Land and Sea package, versus booking the cruise and resort separately, but it sure does simplify things. You'll be able to take advantage of choosing the resort in your budget range either way and adding park tickets. I do like to let the agents at Disney Cruise Line take care of booking it all though, because it just makes it simpler to have the cruise and resort and park tickets booked together. If you've already booked your cruise, just give the agents at Disney Cruise Line a call at (800) 951-3532 to add the resort stay to your reservation. They can also add the
optional ground transfers which are so convenient and make the transitions from land to sea and back again seem like an attraction in themselves! Our kids love watching the Disney Cruise Line videos and classic Disney cartoons on the motorcoach as we make our way to the port, straight from our resort. Letting Disney do the driving makes it so easy!
So, take a look at the fabulous
Walt Disney World Resorts and choose one that seems best for your family. No matter which you choose, you can add it to your cruise package and enjoy a wonderful vacation! Have such fun planning, Heather, and please feel free to stop back and "sea" us again if you have any other questions as you continue to count down to your big cruise! We're happy to help!
