Hiya Mimi,
It is so great to see you back at planDisney! It won't be long now until you are on your way to
The World's Most Magical Celebration. The holiday season at
Walt Disney World Resort is such a magical time of the year to visit. Not only will you be able to enjoy all the festivities surrounding the 50th anniversary, but the theme parks and
Disney Resorts Collection hotels will be all decked out in seasonal lights and colors.
You have asked about an fantastic option offered on select days and times at Magic Kingdom. I have been fortunate enough to participate in
Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour a few times. This in-depth tour takes Guests throughout the Magic Kingdom, sharing not only the history of Magic Kingdom, but plenty of trivia, stories and even a sneak peak at the famous underground tunnels. I definitely recommend taking the tour when you are able.
I did not see any
available times during Thanksgiving week, soI reached out to the
Cast Members at Tours, Recreation for assistance. Unfortunately, the tour is not available at that time due to the holiday. While I know that is not the news you were hoping for, there are two other tours that I absolutely love and would highly recommend. They are not at Magic Kingdom but both offer Guests a chance to experience behind the scenes magic up close and personal. The first is
Behind the Seeds inside The Land at EPCOT. You will be able to visit the greenhouse and laboratories featured in Living with the Land attraction and learn all about Disney's agricultural efforts. The second is perfect for Guests that are animal lovers.
Savor the Savanna will offer you a private safari tour across the savanna at
Disney's Animal Kingdom and then treat you with delicious tapas and beverages. It is an amazing experience.
I hope one of these will peak your interest for now. As a reminder, the tours and events are extremely popular, so you will want to check availability and
advanced reservations are always recommended. If I can help with any additional planning questions, I hope you will stop by and
see me.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Margaret
